The Ways Students of Grammar Schools Perceive the Meaning of Mathematics and Physics

Abstract. The main aim of the empirical research, undertaken in 2004 – 2005, was to survey a subjective importance of the conception of mathematics and physics as seen by high school students with use of the Semantic differentiation method. This contribution presents some of the outcomes of that research. It enables us to think of the way some of the students perceive physics and mathematics nowadays.
